Rover's Place is a dog daycare and boarding facility servicing Highland Park, Skokie, Evanston, North Chicago and parts of the Northwest suburbs. We keep our business small and cozy so your dog will always feel like he or she is vacationing at a neighbor’s home and not at a large facility where their individual personalities are lost in the shuffle. You are always welcome to view the daycare and the boarding areas of our home.

We keep our staff at 15 who rotate their shifts around the clock to keep our guests happy and safe. These wonderful people that work at Rovers all have experience with dealing with different dogs and their personalities.

The dogs play in our cage free 8500 square foot warehouse with air conditioning in the summer and heat in the winter. The space is divided into four areas with six foot fencing. We have two outside fenced in areas that allow the dogs to get fresh air and another space for playing as well as an area for them to go to the bathroom.

It is very important that we keep Rover’s Place as clean and germ free as possible. Our filters in the heating and cooling system are changed bi-monthly. All of the toys, buckets, bowls, crates and pens are disinfected daily.

In all of our sleeping rooms, we play classical music to help keep the dogs feeling relaxed. We also have a night staff that stays with the dogs until the midnight hour. Our day staff comes back to greet our guests at 7:00 a.m.

All of the dogs are offered a free bath with a three night’s stay. Holidays require a five night stay. If you would like your dog bathed during daycare or under a three night’s stay, it will be added to your bill.
Before any dog is accepted, we first do an evaluation. This lets us meet you and your dog so we can determine if there will be any special requests. If a dog is found too nervous or anti-social, we will have other play options available. We accept these dogs as long as they are people-friendly. This way, your dog can get the fun and exercise that you want. All dogs must be current on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordatella vaccinations. They must also be on flea and tick preventatives during the appropriate seasons. Please have your vet fax the record to us or bring them in when you come for your evaluation.
